David proposed to me on my birthday and it was the most incredible day of my life.
He'd had the ring for a few months before he found the right opportunity. That came on my birthday where he'd planned to take me to one of our favourite restaurants Yo Sushi! These are fabulous sushi restaurants in the UK where the plates of sushi are served on a conveyor belt for you to help yourself.
Well before a trip to Yo Sushi was a rare treat as they used to only be available in London, but recently we found out one was opening in Southampton (30 mins away from home) we had to give it a try.
So Dave was acting a little strange and I saw a balloon in a bag and thought he was going to give me a surprise birthday present. So after food, and after desert he goes to the bathroom and comes back. Then I started to notice a lot of the staff acting weirdly. The next thing I know on the conveyor belt comes a balloon with 2 boxes.
In the first is a gorgeous charm for my bracelet which I was really happy about as I really wanted. As I started to open the other box Dave moves and gets down on one knee and proposes with the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen. It was like a scene from out of a movie as everyone in the restaurant started clapping and the manager gave us a bottle of champagne on the house. We sipped the champagne as I sat in an amazing moment of ecstasy hoping it would never end. It truly was the most incredible moment of my life.

The ring itself is incredible. I'd dropped a lot of hints to Dave about what I wanted and he totally listened to every word and produced an incredible ring. The day was so amazing, I wish I could live it all over again.
